To withdraw from an event, please utilize our Withdrawal Form. Emails are not an adequate substitution.
For Flu or COVID-19 type symptoms such as fever, cough, or running nose; please do not enter the event. We understand some conditions such as allergies can cause sneezing and congestion. Please use your best judgment.
Withdrawals after the start of an event, even without participation, will result in NO refund.
See the awarded prize list for the tournament either on-site or online a few days after the event. On-site cash awards will be posted with final standings. Scholastic tournaments with trophies will be posted after the award ceremony.

Cash prizes are paid on-site or within 5 business days from the completion of the Prize Form.
Trophies are awarded on-site or can be picked up at next tournament.
Renew your membership or become a new member of the United States Chess Federation:
Sign up with Wilson's Chess by filling out the Member Form and paying onsite.
Memberships will not be processed until both the form and payment are completed.
Cash prizes are paid out on-site via check. For those leaving early, cash prizes will be sent via the method selected within the prize form (mailed check, Zelle, or Paypal). If electronic methods do not work or if incorrect information is provided a check will be mailed.
Cash awards of $600 or more (given in one distribution or in cumulation during a calendar year) will require a completed W-9 form before the prize can be awarded. - No exceptions.
Prizes under $600 will be paid on-site via check or within 5 business days after the completion of the event and prize form. Prizes in excess of $600 in one distribution or during a calendar year will be paid out on-site via check or within 5 business days of both the prize form and a W-9 are filled out.
Refunds are paid within 5 business days of the completion of the event. Generally, we attempt to pay within five days of the request.
We provide one of two refund options. Be sure to specify the refund type in your request.
Category 1: A credit of the full entry fee towards future tournaments or events.
Category 2: A refund of the entry fee minus the greater of a 15% or $5 service charge. This charge is necessary since entries include processing fees not refunded to us, and time is involved in the processing of refunds.
All Category 1 refunds are valid for 1 year. To use your credit, email Info@Wilson-Chess.com with the tournament name in the subject line. In the body please list the following:
Name (first and last)
USCF ID#
Section
Requested byes
Contact info (phone and email if different)
Onsite payment will be required If entering an event with a greater entry fee than you have credit.
Wilson Chess reserves the right to photograph and video record throughout their tournaments & events. By participating in tournaments & events you are allowing Wilson Chess to publish material that may contain a participant’s image in online and in-print promotional materials.
Children 13 years of age and older may be dropped off at the tournaments. If a child is dropped off, they need to have means to reach a guardian such as a cell phone or other contact number.
Children 12 years of age and younger must have adult supervision.
Wilson Chess takes no responsibility for any child dropped-off at our tournament.
